Locate Your lost Hearing Aids with the Smartphone Feature “Find My Hearing Aids”

Misplacing your hearing aids is just as stressful and alarming as misplacing your keys or wallet. These devices are a huge investment and part of your daily life, so losing one or both is terrifying. Starkey’s Halo and Halo 2 hearing aids have a “Find My Hearing Aids” feature in the TruLink mobile app, to make your life easier. This app helps you locate your recently misplaced hearing aid device by using a map which will show you where they were last detected, or a search signal to help you find lost devices when you believe they are close by.

Using the “Find My Hearing Aids” tool

If you believe that you misplaced your hearing aids close to your current location, use the signal feature on the “Find My Hearing Aids” tool by following these steps:

1. Open the TruLink app. Tap the information symbol on the top right hand corner, to the left of the question mark icon.  
2. Choose “Find My Hearing Aids” below the Features section and slowly walk towards the location where you lost your hearing aids.
3. Keep an eye on the signal displays on your phone, while walking slowly around the area. The signal will increase as you get closer to your  hearing aids devices. The “Find My Hearing Aids” tool helps if you cannot recall where you lost them. There is a map option with this tool that can direct you towards the location where the app recently detected the hearing aids. This would be your best option in a situation when you don’t know where you lost the hearing aids, for example while traveling.
