 The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that unaddressed hearing loss poses an annual global cost of 750 billion of international dollars. Cost is due to educational support, productivity and “societal costs,” plus health services. WHO encourages early detection and intervention and says that people can benefit from using hearing aids.
