The life expectancy of hearing aids is three to five years. Contributing factors will be how much you use them, whether or not if you live in a humid or dusty environment, and how much you take care of them. However, they can last longer than a few years. Even so, newer and newer digital technology may entice you to replace them before too long for better listening quality and optimal performance.
Many times it is not worth it to get old hearing aids repaired compared to getting new ones when the old ones are out of warranty. Routine appointments for maintenance and cleaning your hearing aids every day will maximize their lifespan.
